    Rainbow Communities Tasmania - aims to effect changes in community attitudes and policies that ensure that sexual and gender diversity is acknowledged and valued, and encourages individuals to come out with pride and to live in their community with dignity as fully respected and participating members. They also have social events.

    Parents and Friends of Lesbians And Gays (PFLAG) - A non-profit voluntary organisation whose members have a common goal of keeping families together

    QLife - QLife is Australia’s first nationally-oriented counselling and referral service for people of diverse sex, genders and sexualities. QLife provides nation-wide, early intervention, peer supported telephone and web based services to support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) people of all ages. Check out the website for further information on phone-based, online chat or email contact options.

    Gay and Lesbian Health Victoria - Go to their Clearing House for an extensive range of articles on LGBTI issues

    The Gender Centre - The Gender Centre is based in Sydney, New South Wales. It provides a range of services to the Transgender community as well as up to date information for professionals. The Gender Centre- publishes the magazine Polare every two months, which provides a forum for discussion and debate on gender issues. These are available to download from this site
