Trans Day of Remembrance - 20 Nov 2026
WIO REMEMBRANCE BOARD

Trans Day of Remembrance is an international day held every year to honour the memory of transgender, gender-diverse, and non-binary people whose lives have been lost to anti-transgender violence, transphobia, and discrimination - either directly or as a result of the impacts of these experiences.

This year Working It Out invites you join us in remembering our trans and gender non-conforming loved ones, by helping create an online Remembrance Board.

You're invited to send a photo of something that reminds you of a trans or gender diverse person dear to you who has passed away.

Write a sentence to tell us why this photo or item reminds you of your loved one.

The Remembrance Board will be published in the News section of the Working It Out website on the 20th of November, Trans Day of Remembrance.

Posts about the Remembrance Board will be shared on Working It Out and TasPride's Social media, but your contributions will only be published on the WIO website.

Please send your photo & statement through to info@workingitout.org.au by the 18th of November for inclusion.
