This GiveOUT Day, Working It Out will be raising money for our Gender Affirmation Fund. WIO’s Affirmation Fund provides funding up to $400 per annum for trans and gender-diverse Tasmanians, who are experiencing financial hardship, to assist with aspects of gender affirmation. This may include official name and gender changes, necessary health assessments and other gender affirming supports & products.

Gender affirmation significantly improves mental health, emotional well-being, and quality of life for transgender and nonbinary individuals. Trans and gender diverse Tasmanians experience multiple disadvantages in our communities and benefit from additional support to assist with their gender affirmation. WIO’s Affirmation Fund provides funding to individual applicants experiencing financial hardship, to assist with aspects of gender affirmation.

We’re aiming to raise $5,000 for our Gender Affirmation Fund.
