Wanted: Lived Experience Speakers

Could your story help create safer, more inclusive services and communities?

Working It Out is inviting LGBTIQA+ people across Tasmania to express interest in free online training to become volunteer Lived Experience Speakers.

The training, delivered with Common Cause, will support participants to share lived experience safely and meaningfully, with a focus on stories that can build understanding and change hearts and minds.

We welcome people with experiences across health, justice, education, disability, aged care, caring roles, workplaces, and other spaces where LGBTIQA+ lives are shaped.

Online training: Tuesday 4, 11 and 18 August, 12:00 pm–2:00 pm.

EOIs are open now and close on 21 July. Places are limited.

Complete the Expression of Interest form to be considered.
Questions can be sent to info@workingitout.org.au with the subject heading “LEX Training”.
This program is sponsored by our good friends at Care2Serve|Carer Gateway, who are also a Major Community Sponsor of our IDAHOBIT Breakfast. As part of the sponsorship, they are especially keen to see LGBTIQA+ folks who are in unpaid carers roles to take up this opportunity to develop the skills to share their unique stories.
