Come Try Diving – Diving Australia – Tasmanian Diving Academy – Hobart

5 September @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

Diving Australia is proud to join thousands of Australians recognising Wear It Purple Day 2026, a day dedicated to celebrating inclusion, creating safer spaces and promoting the visibility of LGBTQIA+ young people.

This recognition reflects Diving Australia’s ongoing commitment to fostering a sport where everyone feels welcome, valued and able to participate as their authentic selves. Together with our member organisations and clubs, we are working to create inclusive environments across the sport, both in and out of the pool.

To mark Wear It Purple Day, Diving Australia is partnering with Diving WA, Diving SA, Diving Victoria, Diving Queensland and Diving Tasmania to host Come & Try Diving events across five states.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or simply curious about giving diving a go, these events provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment to take the plunge.

These events are open to members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. We encourage people of all abilities, ages and cultural backgrounds to come along, challenge themselves, meet new people and experience the thrill of diving. It’s the perfect opportunity to try something new and discover a sport where there is a place for everyone.

You can find registration and details of the free come and try event in Hobart on Saturday Sept 5th HERE.
