PROFESSIONAL LEARNING AND TRAINING

WIO offers a range of standard and tailored training and professional learning packages for workplaces, organisations and government.

Our LGBTIQA+ cultural awareness and inclusivity training is developed specifically for Tasmania and its unique context (including Tasmania’s Anti-discrimination Laws) and our staff are all highly trained and experienced educators.

Some of our most popular courses include:

  • Language Matters (2 hours) – an introduction to all things LGBTIQA+
  • Being LGBTIQA+ Inclusive (3 hours) – a look at why and how to embed inclusive strategies in your everyday life and work
  • HOW2 – how to create an LGBTIQA+ organisation and how to apply for the Rainbow Tick
  • Introduction to inclusive practices for disability sector worker eLearning  (45 minutes) – a simply and engaging look at being inclusive in disability work.

See the brochure below for details on these courses and more.

WANT TO PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS OR SERVICE?

Working It Out and SignPost are offering businesses and services the opportunity to list their services and to outline their credentials as an inclusive service for LGBTIQA+ population groups in Tasmania.

There is no cost to list your service, however, to ensure that SignPost is an active and up-to-date site we will require a 12-monthly listing check by your organisation. Listing on the directory is not a form of accreditation and does not require organisations to obtain specific LGBTIQA+ accreditation.

CONSULTATION SERVICES

WIO staff are available to consult on a range of policy, procedure and professional services/learning issues. Rates are $90-$120 per hour (GST exc).

Please call or email for more details.
