Crafternoons- In Person Hobart & Online
6 March @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Crafternoons at Working It Out & Online
WIO Crafternoons are a space for anyone over 18 from the LGBTQIA+ community (allies are also welcome) to come and hang out in a chill space and be creative 😊
The 1st Friday of each month is an in-person/online hybrid event, and the 3rd Friday is online-only. Our in-person Crafternoons are held at the North Hobart office (278 Argyle Street).
For our in-person events, you’re welcome to bring your own arts & crafts supplies, or you can use the bits and bobs we have here (colouring books, paper, pencils, origami paper etc.), and all skill levels are welcome 🙂
Accessibility info for in-person Crafternoons:
- Whilst the building is generally wheelchair accessible for manual wheelchairs, unfortunately the crafternoon space will probably be a bit tricky to navigate, especially if we have a lot of people 🙁
- There’s one disability/accessible car spot at the back for anyone who needs to be dropped off/picked up
- We have an accessible toilet for people to use
- It’s a food-free space, but people can eat outside the room if need-be i.e. in the kitchen area
- You don’t have to have your camera or mic on if you’re attending online
- You don’t have to stay for the whole 2 hours, and can also turn up partway through
- You’re welcome to take breaks if you need to, and for people attending in person, the front room with the comfy couches should be free if anyone needs a break from the socialising for a bit 🙂
- We’ll have an air filter in the room, and you can wear a mask if you feel more comfortable (I usually wear one as well)
* Also, if you’re coming in-person, you’ll be visible on the webcam for people attending online, but I hide it from our view, so that you won’t be staring at yourself – please consider whether you feel comfortable with this before attending. Crafternoons are never recorded, but I want to give people a heads up about being visible on a webcam
If you have any accessibility-related enquiries, need more info, need the link for attending online, or would like to join the mailing list, please contact Kai at kai@workingitout.org.au 😊
